This website was created to provide oral materials in the Hakka language that will bless all who listen.
The History of the Translation Program in the Hakka Pontianak Language
The translation program in the Hakka Pontianak language was started in 2014, beginning with 25 oral Bible stories. This program was carried out in the city of Pontianak, along with five other languages including Ahe (Kanayatn), Balangin, Bidayuh Jagoi, Mualang and Uud Danum.
Currently the Hakka team has finished orally translating the Gospel of Luke. The Gospel of Luke in Hakka was translated by four team members and checked by church leaders, influential Hakka speakers, people from the Hakka community, and a Bible translation consultant.
The translation of the Gospel of Luke into the Hakka langauge is done in partnership with the Indonesian Hakka Mission Foundation, Kartidaya, and church in West Kalimantan.
